DESCRIPTION:Help spread the joy of Thanksgiving to your neighbors in need! The Betsy & Peter Fischer Food Pantry will be collecting donations of Kosher\, nonperishable Thanksgiving side dishes on Monday\, November 13 from 10am – 1pm. \nMost-needed items include: Mashed Potatoes\, Canned Yams\, Cranberry Sauce\, Canned String Beans\, Canned Peas\, Canned Corn\, Canned Pineapple\, Stuffing\, Pie Crust\, Applesauce\, Apple Juice\, and Cake Mix. \nThere will be collection containers outside the building for contactless drop-off of donations. For those planning to drop off large carloads of food\, please reach out to Deena Neuwirth in advance to schedule a drop off time: 856-477-1314 or dneuwirth@jfedsnj.org. \nJFCS cannot accept turkey donations this year. PLEASE STAY TUNED FOR A NEW DATE! \nPresenter Joseph “Joe” Scullen\, MSW will discuss issues that aging parents and caregivers should consider as they plan the long-term needs of their loved ones. Joe has decades of experience navigating the world of disability services as a parent\, grandparent\, professional\, and mentor of individuals with disabilities and their families. He worked for the United Cerebral Palsy Association for over 35 years\, retiring in 2013 as Director of Community Social Services. Through his networking and activism he has helped countless children\, families\, and organizations identify and secure private and government benefits\, and supported them through the complex web of long term planning. \nThis program will be held in person at the Amy Silvers Community Building and live on Zoom.
