SUMMARY:Disability Workshop - Dual Diagnosis
DESCRIPTION:The JFCS Disability Services Committee is proud to present a free community workshop: \nDual Diagnosis\nMental Health Concerns among People with Intellectual and Developmental Differences\nPresented by Lucille Esralew\, Ph.D.\n  \nRSVP Now\n  \nDr. Lucille Esralew is a clinician\, educator\, and consultant. She has been particularly interested in building capacity to provide mental health and behavioral health services for individuals with complex needs and increasing the caregiving resources of families and staff who serve individuals with the co-occurring challenges of mental illness and developmental disabilities. Dr. Esralew received her Ph.D. in Psychology from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences\, Columbia University in 1999. She is a licensed Psychologist in New Jersey (2002) and in California (2019). She is a Certified Clinical Neuropsychologist\, a Certified Dementia Practitioner (NCCDP)\, and Certified Clinician from the National Association for the Dually Diagnosed (NADD). She is on the steering committee for the National Task Group for Intellectual Disabilities and Dementia Practices and spearheaded the development of the NTG-EDSD; she is a master trainer of the NTG Dementia Capable Caregiving curriculum. Dr. Esralew serves in the California Autism Professional Training and Information Network (CAPTAIN 101) and serves on the Safety Net Sub-Committee of the California Department of Disabilities Services Task Force. She co-authored with Donna Icovino\, the Family Crisis Handbook (2009) and the Updated Family Crisis Handbook (2019). Having served as co-editor of the NADD Bulletin for 8 years\, she now regular contributes a column she calls Confessions of an Itinerant Psychologist.
