Richard Chait first came to our agency in 2021 to offer his assistance with our client’s transportation needs in both our senior medical transportation program and our Take the Wheel veteran program. Richard is a veteran who served as a specialist in the army. He has been matched with many clients over the past few years and has provided more than 60 rides, delivered hundreds of meals through our Catered Home Delivered Meal and holiday meal delivery programs, delivered groceries to dozens of pantry clients who live in outlying areas, and stepped up on many occasions to provide rides for Patient Partner clients when other volunteers were unavailable. Richard has also driven clients who live in Cherry Hill to Vineland for Hope and Healing Holocaust survivor programming. He is a member of South Jersey Men’s Club. Prior to volunteering for JFCS, he volunteered as a driver for the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County.
