Child & Adolescent Counseling

The JFCS Faye Manger Counseling Department offers guidance for children and teens, ages 3 to 18. We are guided by the belief that supporting children’s and teens’ mental health can change the trajectory of their lives. Our integrative approach involves parents and caregivers in the therapeutic process, encouraging consistency and support at home.

Our licensed counselors use a variety of modalities to address a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, bullying, academic pressures, attention disorders or learning challenges, eating disorders, identity concerns, behavioral issues, life changes such as divorce or separation, grief and loss, sexual abuse, and family dynamics.

The newest JFCS therapeutic offering for children is our Dr. Edward Rosof Play Therapy Room.
This warm and inviting space enables our clinicians to build rapport and communicate openly
with young clients through play. To learn more, click HERE.

In addition to individual and family counseling, JFCS offers youth outreach programs that raise awareness and offer tools to prevent suicide, addiction, and teen relationship violence. Our expert counselors are also available to speak on a variety of youth mental health topics at area schools and houses of worship.
