JFCS Website Policies

Online Privacy Policy

This is the website of Samost Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Southern New Jersey (JFCS). We will not willfully disclose any personally identifiable information about our online audience to any third party without first receiving the user’s permission. We do not display, sell, trade, or rent your information to outside parties not directly affiliated with the maintenance of this website. However, we may release information when we believe that such release is necessary to comply with law. The information we collect is used to customize the content and/or layout of our pages for each individual visitor.

Should our site contain links to other sites, please be aware that JFCS is not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites. We encourage users to read the privacy statement of every website that collects personally identifiable information. By using our website, www.jfcssnj.org, you consent to this policy. Website Security Policy

JFCS has a responsibility to protect from disclosure to unauthorized parties the personally identifiable information (name, address, credit card number, etc.) of its website users. Therefore, JFCS has adopted and implemented a website security policy to protect account information of its website users.

Data Quality and Access
JFCS takes all possible steps to ensure that the data on the website is accurate. If something is found to be inaccurate, JFCS will make every effort to correct said information as quickly as possible. If it is found to be an inaccuracy with the entire system, JFCS will work swiftly to correct the problem so that your web experience is as trouble-free as possible. The information contained on the JFCS website is subject to change without prior advance notice.

Data Security
JFCS takes security very seriously and has therefore taken every precaution to secure our users’ information. In order to secure our website users’ information, JFCS has implemented several security measures to prevent loss, theft, or misuse of any user data.

When users use features on the JFCS website that involve the transfer of personal information, JFCS requires that a secure connection first be established using 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. During a secure SSL session, data passed back and forth between the user’s computer and JFCS’s servers is secured through the use of public key cryptography. The user’s computer exchanges key information with JFCS’s computers to create a private conversation that only the user’s computer and JFCS’s systems may understand. The U.S. government regulates 128-bit encryption; it can only be used by citizens and permanent residents of the United States and Canada. To benefit from this security and to use many of the features on the JFCS site you may need to download a 128-bit enabled browser from Mozilla, Microsoft, Apple, or another software company.

Each time you enter a secure connection while using the JFCS website, your browser will notify you, unless the feature has been turned off. Please note that if you have left a secure connection, all data sent to JFCS is over an unsecure connection.

Email Security Policy

When a user sends e-mail messages to JFCS, the return address may be used to respond to the inquiry. The content and address contained in the message will be recorded so that it can be referenced in future communications between the user and JFCS. Email is not a secure means of transmitting information.

Contacting JFCS

JFCS respects your right to privacy and is committed to protecting the confidentiality and privacy of any personal information it collects, uses and discloses about you in the course of doing business. If you have any questions or concerns about any of the policies listed above, please contact us.
