Building Jewish Families Program Coordinator

Shira Lipkin is a Licensed Social Worker who takes an integrative, client-centered approach to therapy. She is committed to creating a warm, collaborative space where clients feel supported, understood, and empowered to work toward meaningful change.
Shira works with children, adolescents, and adults, drawing from evidence-based modalities including DBT, CBT, IFS, and ACT to tailor treatment to each individual’s needs and goals. Her areas of experience include domestic violence, severe and persistent mental illness, trauma, and grief.
She earned her MSW with a clinical focus from Columbia School of Social Work and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Psychology from Barnard College of Columbia University. She also earned a Master’s degree in Jewish Professional Leadership from the Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS).
In addition to providing therapeutic services, Shira serves as the program coordinator for the Building Jewish Families initiative at JFCS, supporting those on their fertility journeys.
