JFCS Creates Meaningful Mitzvah and Volunteer Opportunities for Teens!
Jewish Family & Children’s Service (JFCS) is proud to offer meaningful opportunities for local teens and B’nai Mitzvah students to connect with our community and begin a lifelong journey of service. Whether it’s a mitzvah project, school requirement, or personal passion, JFCS can help students make a lasting impact—tailored to their interests.
Ways to Get Involved:
✔ Create a Personalized Fundraiser
Students can support a JFCS program that’s meaningful to them through a custom fundraising page, complete with their photo and story.
✔ Support the Betsy & Peter Fischer Food Pantry
Collect kosher food, new pajamas or books, or assemble birthday bags for clients in need.
✔ Engage with Older Adults
Make birthday cards, deliver challah or treats, or even “adopt” a local senior for regular connection and support.
✔ Uplift Holocaust Survivors
Send letters, organize a ShopRite gift card drive, or share a musical or performance talent at a Café Europa gathering.
✔ Support Domestic Violence Survivors (Project SARAH)
Collect gift cards or new household items like towels and bedding to help survivors rebuild their lives.
✔ Champion Disability Services
Donate art supplies or volunteer at a monthly SOAR (Social Opportunities and Recreation) program for young adults with disabilities.
Each project is a chance to make a real difference—while learning the value of compassion, empathy, and community responsibility. To learn more or get started, please email us at jfcsvolunteer@jfedsnj.org or visit jfcs.galaxydigital.com.
