Jerry Baer
Jerry finds deep fulfillment in the positive momentum happening at JFCS. “It’s incredibly rewarding to know that I’m helping someone less fortunate,” he shares. “Seeing the smile on their face—and knowing I’ve made their day a little easier—makes my own day complete.”
Born and raised in the vibrant neighborhoods of The Bronx, New York, Jerry grew up surrounded by kosher delis, pizza shops, and a strong sense of community. After earning a BS in Mathematics and marrying the love of his life, Gloria, the couple moved to Boston, Massachusetts, where Jerry completed his MBA. During their eight years in Boston, they welcomed their daughter Randi and son Kenneth before settling in Cherry Hill.
Professionally, Jerry built a successful career in technical sales and founded his own company, Analectro, Inc., in 1980. He is also a proud father-in-law to Jay Halbert and Caron Gremont, and a devoted grandfather to five wonderful grandchildren: Melanie, Alex, Zachary, Avital, and Oren.
Jerry has long been a dedicated member of Temple Beth Sholom, where he’s chaired numerous committees, served on the Board and Executive Board as Vice President, and co-led the fundraising efforts for the synagogue’s move from Haddon Heights to Cherry Hill. Since 2011, he has also been a devoted volunteer at the Betsy & Peter Fischer Food Pantry.
