
Lisa Freedman Enda
Lisa serves as the Director of Volunteers, where she oversees the recruitment, onboarding, training, and placement of all new and existing volunteers across the agency’s vital social service programs. Her professional leadership at JFCS is deeply informed by her six-year tenure on the agency’s Board of Directors, including serving as a Vice Presidents on the Executive Committee during which she led key fundraising and community outreach initiatives.
Prior to joining JFCS, Lisa built a distinguished 20-year career in nonprofit child advocacy, including as a trial litigation and appellate attorney for The Legal Aid Society of New York representing children in child protective and juvenile delinquency proceedings. In New Jersey, Lisa has extensive experience in hands-on advocacy and case management for children in foster care through Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). As a passionate advocate for strengthening families and communities, Lisa brings a unique blend of positive energy, strategic leadership, and collaborative spirit to empowering our local community through service and impact.
Lisa holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and earned her Juris Doctor degree from the Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she was awarded a CIVITAS ChildLaw Fellowship. In her free time, Lisa enjoys traveling and mahjong, as well as spending time with her husband Jeff, and their two sons, Sebastian and Caleb, and her dog, Charlie.
