Lydia Silpe
Lydia joined Jewish Family & Children’s Service (JFCS) in 2008 as the agency’s grant writer, following a 20-year career in law. Before her professional role at JFCS, she volunteered as a Friendly Visitor and served on the JFCS Board of Directors. In her current role as Grant & Outreach Manager, Lydia develops funding proposals for a broad range of organizations and regularly reports to funders and other key stakeholders. Her passion for the JFCS mission and her extensive experience allow her to effectively communicate the agency’s needs and impact. Lydia’s strong writing skills, institutional knowledge, and persuasive abilities honed in her legal career help secure essential funding for JFCS programs. In recognition of her dedication, she received the JFCS Kavod Award in 2018.
Lydia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Emory University and a Juris Doctor degree from Villanova University. She lives in Cherry Hill with her husband, Richard, and is the proud mother of Amanda and Jake, mother-in-law to Daniel Potter, and soon-to-be mother-in-law to Madi Kahn.
