We Are Stronger Together. You Are Not Alone.
Our hearts are shattered as we stand with Israel during this time of unimaginable violence and loss. The multi-front terrorist attacks against the people of Israel are horrific war crimes that we vehemently condemn. The evil unleashed upon our beloved Israeli friends, family, brothers, and sisters that began on the holy day of Simchat Torah is unfathomable. Though we are separated by distance, their pain is our pain.
The traumatic images of brutality and loss coming out of Israel have undoubtedly taken a toll on our community. We understand that this crisis may be an emotional burden for many. Please know that support is available and JFCS counselors are here for you. We offer individual counseling and group support for adults, children, adolescents, families, and couples. We can help you process trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, and other issues related to the events unfolding in Israel.
To best help the community cope, two events are being offered this week:
On Tuesday, October 10, at 7pm, there will be a Community Gathering
in Solidarity with Israel. As soon as details are available, we will share them
with you.
On Wednesday, October 11, from 12 noon to 1pm, there will be a supportive group session, for anyone in need, at no charge. Please call our main number at
(856) 424-1333, to participate in the group, or for other support.
During this dark hour, may we draw courage from one another. Our light cannot be extinguished. Together, we will get through this. We stand united with Israel, as we always have, and pray that calm and security will soon be restored.
Am Yisrael Chai.
