Addiction doesn’t just affect the individual—it ripples through entire families, leaving loved ones grappling with feelings of isolation, stress, and uncertainty. To address this deep and growing need, JFCS is launching a new support initiative this summer: Together We Heal, a recovery family support group for family members and loved ones of individuals in recovery or struggling with addiction.
Meeting twice a month, Together We Heal will provide a safe, culturally sensitive space where family members can share their stories, gain emotional support, and develop practical tools for coping and healing. The group will be led by a licensed JFCS clinician with specialized expertise in addiction counseling, ensuring a compassionate and knowledgeable approach to each session.
Participants will explore essential topics such as setting healthy boundaries, developing coping strategies, and engaging in collaborative problem-solving—all while connecting with others who truly understand what they’re going through. The group may also serve as a gateway to additional supportive services, including individual counseling and referrals to other JFCS programs that promote family well-being.
This meaningful initiative is made possible by through the generosity of Gregg B. Wolfe, in loving memory of his son, Justin Matthew Wolfe, who lost his life to a fatal heroin overdose at just 21 years old. Through this program, the Wolfe family honors Justin’s memory by offering hope, resilience, and connection to others navigating similar pain.
JFCS invites all community members who are supporting a loved one through addiction or recovery to join Together We Heal and begin their own journey of healing and growth.
