A Joyous Chanukah Celebration Honoring Holocaust Survivors and a Special Birthday Milestone

On Thursday, December 19, 2024, JFCS had the pleasure of hosting our annual Love Café Europa Program’s Chanukah celebration. The Katz JCC social hall was packed with Holocaust Survivors, family members, staff, volunteers, and students and teachers from Politz Day School of Cherry Hill. Everyone enjoyed a delicious dairy lunch, replete with latkes and jelly donuts, as wonderful Jewish music and lively conversation filled the room. The true highlight of the gathering was singing “Happy Birthday” to one of our clients in celebration of her 103rd birthday!

Special thanks to Rabbi Micah Peltz of Temple Beth Sholom for sharing meaningful insights on Chanukah and the resilience of the Jewish people, to Marvin and Marsha Raab for generously sponsoring the Chanukah celebration, and to JFCS past president and current board member Judy Love for her ongoing sponsorship of Café Europa.
