Aviva Birnkrant is a licensed clinical social work with over ten years of experience working with individuals, families, and children. She earned her Master’s Degree from The University of Chicago’s School of Social Service Administration with a focus on clinical social work. Aviva then completed post-graduate clinical training at the Ackerman Institute for the Family in New York City. She has enjoyed working with diverse populations in a variety of settings, launching her career as a Case Planner and Supervisor making home visits in the South Bronx to support families and build parenting strengths.  Aviva then served as a school social worker in East Harlem, NY and Atlanta, GA working with students and their families to ensure that their mental health needs were met so they could thrive in school.  

 

In her own words: “I hope to create a warm and inviting space where clients can explore their strengths, goals, and what is getting in the way of them becoming the people they hope to be.  I believe the therapeutic relationship is an opportunity for healing and greater connection to oneself and the important people in one’s life.”
