Community Drop & Go Food Drive set for January 16

In the past year, Jewish Family & Children’s Service (JFCS) helped nourish more than 8,000 South Jersey residents through its Betsy & Peter Fischer Food Pantry. As the cost of groceries and household items continues to rise, more people than ever before are turning to JFCS to put food on the table. On Monday, January 16, JFCS will hold a community drop & go food drive in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The food drive will take place from 10am – 1pm at the Rhona Fischer Family Assistance Building / Betsy & Peter Fischer Food Pantry, located at 6 East Miami Avenue in Cherry Hill We are seeking donations of kosher, nonperishable food and household products to stock our pantry shelves through the winter. Most-needed items include shelf-stable milk, hot and cold cereal, pancake mix, canned fish, peanut butter, jelly, rice, pasta, and baby items like formula, diapers, and baby food. For more information, please reach out to Deena Neuwirth at 856-477-1314 or dneuwirth@jfedsnj.org.
