The Special Needs Department

Soups and Sweets

  • 9 students graduated from program this year
  • Overall, 73% of our graduates are employed in Food Service
  • 85% of graduates are employed
  • Catering revenue exceeding $75,000

 

TOPS

  • Program grew from 43 clients to 56 clients (30% increase)
  • Expanded to 5 days effective September 2016 and increased to 5 hours/day

 

Supported Employment

  • 141 clients (130 previous year)
  • 40 active clients seeking employment, 11 in job coaching stages and 90 in Long Term Follow Along

 

SAIL

  • 56 participants
  • Average  10 events per month, 116 events in total for the year. 4 Special Olympics sports team, we added Floor Hockey.

 

The Special Needs Department

  • 39 veterans – up from 20 at beginning of fiscal year
  • 7 volunteer drivers (4 are veterans)

 

The Counseling Department

 

The Senior Department

  • Group participants – 2,172
  • 12,126 kosher meals on wheels
  • $1,152,716 in services to Holocaust Survivors

Volunteers Department

Approximately 750 volunteers work through JFCS annually. Reported 3875 hours at value of $100,401 – based on cost of $25.91 / hour given by independent sector value estimates.
