Rivka Shakow
Rivka is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy and Practice. Rivka specialized in working with the geriatric population at Penn in the Penn Aging Concentration, or PAC program. She has worked has with older adults in their homes as well as in hospice care. Rivka’s expertise is in loss and transition and she works to integrate a meaning-making model into her work with individuals. She is also a Certified Dementia Practitioner and assists caregivers in coping with the stress of caring for their loved ones. Rivka “leads from one step behind” and looks to work collaboratively with clients, meeting each client where they are to help bring forth their strengths and skills.
