Sherri Jonas

Sherri Jonas brings more than 25 years of experience in business, including banking, finance, government, and non-profit work in various capacities. She has worked in audit, tax, and consulting. Over a period of ten years, Sherri served in various roles on the board of directors of her South Jersey synagogue as membership chairperson, financial secretary, and member-at-large. She uses her background in public accounting and private industry to benefit JFCS in many ways. Her expertise includes evaluating, streamlining, and automating processes by researching and implementing software, organizing and preparing financial data, evaluating programs, and opining on risk management and strategic planning. 

In addition to her work streamlining processes at JFCS, Sherri manages over 200 volunteers’ operations, including recruitment, placement, and training. She coordinates over a dozen annual events and community functions, engages community partners in a variety of ways, and creates new and innovative programming based on our staff and clients’ needs. 

Sherri is a CPA (on inactive status), MBA, and manager with strong analytical and leadership skills. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in accounting with a secondary field of study in mathematics from Rutgers College and the Rutgers School of Business. She obtained her Master of Business Administration in finance from Temple University. She is a member of both the AICPA and the NJSCPA. She is also a published author of two non-fiction books and an artist. Sherri received the JFCS Visionary Leadership Award in 2020.
