MEDICAL APPOINTMENT TRANSPORTATION

In general, in order to receive volunteer-based rides to medical appointments, one must first become JFCS client, which includes having a scheduled Social Work Assessment. To learn more, call 856-424-1333. Please note that medical appointment transportation services have been limited during the COVID-19 pandemic.

TAKE THE WHEEL VETERANS TRANSPORTATION

Take the Wheel provides free rides for veterans from other veterans to medical appointments at local VA facilities and other medical sites. This service is available to veterans living in Camden, Burlington, and Gloucester Counties. Tell Me More

FRIENDLY VISITORS

Please note that during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Friendly Visitors program is limited. Through our Volunteer Department, volunteers can spend quality time with seniors, having conversation and enjoying the company of another person.

PATIENT PARTNERS

For many older adults, going to the doctor can be difficult, especially when trying to remember or understand the information the doctor imparts. The JFCS Patient Partners program offers a remedy to this dilemma by pairing trained volunteers with clients to accompany the patient to their doctor appointments. Tell Me More
