DRIVER COMPANION
A driver is able to drive and accompany client on necessary errands. These could include food shopping, banking, going to the beauty parlor, and more.
MEDICAL APPOINTMENT TRANSPORTATION
Volunteer drivers are available to assist seniors with getting to and from doctor appointments, therapies, and wellness appointments.
TAKE THE WHEEL VETERANS TRANSPORTATION
Take the Wheel provides free rides for veterans from other veterans to medical appointments at local VA facilities and other medical sites. Take the Wheel services are available to veterans of Camden, Burlington, and Gloucester Counties. Presently, we are actively seeking veterans who would be able to become a Take the Wheel driver and for veterans who would need our assistance. Tell Me More
FRIENDLY VISITOR
Through our Volunteer Department, volunteers can spend quality time with seniors, having conversation and enjoying the company of another person.
PATIENT PARTNERS
For many, going to the doctor can be difficult. Especially when trying to remember or understand all the information the doctor imparts – in complex medical terms – and being able to follow those instructions. JFCS offers a remedy to this very dilemma: the Patient Partners Program. This program will pair trained volunteers with clients to accompany the patient to his or her doctor appointments. Tell Me More
