The loss of a spouse or longtime partner is one of the hardest things an individual will ever endure. Following the death of a loved one, each of us journeys through the process of grief, mourning, and adjustment in a unique manner. But no one needs to grieve alone. Samost Jewish Family & Children’s Service (JFCS) is committed to helping bereaved individuals work through the healing process. A new session of the JFCS Widows & Widowers Support Group will begin on Tuesday, October 12, followed by five additional biweekly meetings. Participants will have the opportunity to converse openly, connect with peers, share meaningful ideas, and delve into their feelings in a caring and professionally guided space. This group will be facilitated by JFCS geriatric case manager Reva Farenback-Brateman. There is a $36 registration fee for this group, and advance RSVP is required. To learn more or to RSVP, please call (856) 424-1333, ext. 1184 or email rfbrateman@jfedsnj.org.
The Widows & Widowers Support Group is sponsored by LifeForce Caregivers for the Elderly.
