WHAT IS JFED RIDES?

In partnership with Envoy America, JFed Rides is an accompanied transportation service that provides rides for older adults* living in Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester Counties. Using their own older adult-friendly vehicles, Companion Drivers will come to members’ doors, help them get into the car, and walk them back to their door. They can even help put groceries away!

WHAT MAKES THIS PROGRAM DIFFERENT?

Envoy America is solely focused on providing services for older adults. Each driver is trained to have relevant skills that are key to helping an older adult, such as how to interact with a person with memory issues. Companion Drivers are First Aid/CPR certified.

Envoy America’s Companion Drivers will come to older adults’ doors, help them get into the car, stow their transfer-wheelchair or walker, carry their bags, and walk them back to their door.

This program reflects our shared commitment to keeping older adults engaged in the community with social, recreational, and cultural programming.
