JFCS is thrilled to announce that Margo Orlin will be welcomed as Incoming Board President at our 80th Annual Celebration on Monday evening, September 23. Margo has been a volunteer with our agency for over 20 years. Her JFCS journey began in the Disability Services Department, and she was immediately inspired by the dedication of the agency staff and by the meaningful programs they designed to support people with disabilities to grow and to live their best lives. As Margo’s interest and connection to the agency grew, her participation included the SAIL program, Soups & Sweets, Kosher Meals on Wheels, to name just a few of her volunteer activities.
She has been a long-time member and co-chair of the Disability Services Committee and has also served as a co-chair of Stepping Out. Margo joined our Board of Directors in 2017 and has served on the Executive Committee. Margo is a pediatric physical therapist and an Associate Professor Emerita at Drexel University, where she has been a faculty member since 1991. She and her husband Alan raised their sons, Joshua and Jeremy, in Voorhees and they are now the proud grandparents of four, all of whom live in Voorhees. Margo shared, “I am honored to serve as President of JFCS and I look forward to contributing to the future of JFCS and of our community.”
Our South Jersey community is invited to join us on September 23, when the presidential “torch” will be passed from outgoing President Stacy Asbell Levin to Margo. To RSVP or purchase Annual Celebration tribute ads, please visit www.jfcssnj.org/annualcelebration.
