According to US Census Bureau statistics, New Jersey has over 350,000 veterans, with almost 25,000 in Camden County alone. The Burlington County statistics estimate that their veterans comprise 7% of county residents. Of those, the largest segment is Vietnam War veterans, who make up approximately 35% percent of veterans in Burlington County. Approximately 10% of all JFCS clients are veterans. Many of these clients have difficulty arranging their appointments, getting transportation to treatments, and identifying the benefits to which they are entitled. The JFCS Veterans Assistance Program enables Veterans to receive the care and consideration they deserve.
