Our Rhona Fischer (z”l) Family Assistance Program (FAP)  helps thousands of South Jersey residents who need help feeding their families, making ends meet, or overcoming domestic violence. With unparalleled compassion and care, our dedicated staff helps clients find effective solutions by providing critical support and resources. We strive to empower both individuals and families to become self-sufficient.

CASE MANAGEMENT

Our counselors and social workers help to provide the tools and resources to help families manage finances, become economically self-sufficient, and regain control over their lives. They make every effort to connect clients with programs and services available in the community, including healthcare, housing, nutrition assistance, legal and financial services, and job training programs.

PROJECT SARAH DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PROGRAM

Project SARAH (Stop Abusive Relationships at Home) provides multi-faceted services, including resource referrals, case management, support groups, safety planning, and more to help victims of domestic violence and their families. Tell Me More

EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Limited cash assistance is available to families in direct economic need, on a case by-case basis, as determined by their social workers.

FINANCIAL LITERACY & LEGAL CONSULTATIONS

JFCS offers periodic consultations with attorneys representing a variety of legal specialties, helping to provide individuals with tools to make informed decisions regarding budgeting, debt and expense reduction, credit, and savings. We can also provide free legal and financial referrals.

FOOD PANTRY

Our Betsy and Peter Fischer Food Pantry offers kosher, nonperishable food and personal care items to individuals in need living in Camden, Burlington, and Gloucester counties. As the only exclusively kosher food pantry in South Jersey, we rely on community donations and grants to keep our shelves stocked. Individuals and families, regardless of race or religion, can receive food from our pantries. Tell Me More

VETERANS ASSISTANCE

We are passionate about helping Veterans receive the care and attention to which they are entitled. Our Take the Wheel program offers volunteer transportation enabling veterans to attend medical and wellness appointments.  We also offer VA benefits counseling and resource referrals to help veterans access and understand all of their support options so they can live a healthy life. COMMUNITY JOB BOARD

The JFCS Community Job Board connects job seekers with potential employers in Camden, Burlington, and Gloucester counties. With a wide variety of temporary, part-time, and full-time positions across multiple industries, the  Job Board is a free service for both hob seekers and employers.
